Next Up was born in Turin by initiative of IFM Infomaster S.p.A. and a few Piedmont entrepreneurs and managers operating in the ICT sector. The new company was established with a mission to operate in the field of designing, installing and managing call center infrastructures.
Emilio Barlocco, president of IFM and Nextup, explained the purpose of the initiative. “In Italy, the call center market is evolving very quickly. We have gone from a period where phone contact with an end client was basically linked to the concept of assistance or reporting malfunctions to a situation where the call center has become an integral and proactive part of company business.
This is why for a company like IFM, which is the leader in developing call center systems, it is essential to provide our customers with a service capable of guaranteeing not only technological features, but also business continuity. For this purpose, it is necessary to combine an array of skills not only in the field of networking, IT security, systems integration, DB management and operating systems, but also for what concerns the operational factors of the call center”.
The distinguishing factor of Nextup compared to “generic” ICT companies is based on the capacity of providing not only technological skills but also project management, process and market skills.
The operations of Nextup, in addition to specialized consultancy and systems integration, will also include integrated remote monitoring of infrastructures and the ability to provide call center services (IVR, ACD, CTI, CRM) as an ASP, thanks to the data center that was set up at the Top-Ix consortium of Turin.
Thus, now even small and medium size enterprises and local public administration (municipalities, provinces and regions) will be able to use advanced call center and CRM technologies on a pay-per-use basis, but with lower operating costs and the ability to turn investments into lease payments. Nextup will be available in Turin, Genoa, Milan and Rome.
