OVERVIEW
LX - Sentinel is a component of the Lighthouse LX platform for active surveillance. It provides advanced services for security integrated with multimedia communications systems embedded in LX. This platform makes it possible to combine information retrieved from different sensors such as any movement on or off premises. There are several types of “signals” such as: Open door, volumetric alarms, etc. so that the right action can be taken according to configuration. Signals can also be, for instance, thermodynamic, chemical, biometric or pharma-chemical variables related to industrial, social, biological, microbiological or environmental events.
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
The system is based on a functional description of the rules that combine detected events with expected actions, which are enabled dynamically.
LX - Sentinel supports remote connections also through a Web browser, provides viewing, digital registration, alarm management and activation of digital implementers. It is thoroughly scalable and enables multi-point architecture.
The system can also be integrated with pre-existing analogue closed-circuit systems thus making it possible to focus on specific points and to create different control stations.
The solution can be used for a wide range of applications: from new-generation intelligent operations centers to surveillance systems for a range of places such as schools, banks, hospitals, clinics and urban, industrial or parkland areas. In addition, the architectural scalability of the system makes this solution easy to implement and cost-effective even for small organizations.

An analysis of images provides a complete set of algorithms able to identify a complete array of complex situations of alert. Such as :

- Classifying items according to size

Several areas for form analysis can be defined for each camera and each area can have a combination of several event identification algorithms. Areas can be blacked out to ensure privacy under certain situations.
